We are starting a new year AGAIN. I don’t feel like I even remember the last couple. Time is really starting to go fast these days. Maybe it’s because I’m rapidly approaching 40!
I have some new years resolutions…
- Lose weight – #1, top of the list, priority above all. The weight has to come off. I’m starting to feel physically bad from carrying the extra weight. My feet hurt, I look awful and it would sure be nice to fit into some of my clothes rather than just buying bigger every 3 or 6 months.
- Watch the alcohol intake. I really enjoy my after work adult beverage which needs to be limited to just 1 during weekdays. This should be an easy goal.
- Work on my 2 favorite hobbies. Gardening and painting. I received an easel for Christmas and it’s fantastic for my new oil painting experiments! My gardening is something that I’ve done forever but I’m now going to journal my gardening experiences so I can actually learn from them – what a concept!!! My other blog is my garden journal… gardengator.wordpress.com
- I need to actually READ a book. Not an audio book, those are easy… I have tons of fiction books that I need to read. My goal this year is to get through at least ONE!
- Organize the house and have a huge garage sale this year. My home is busting at the seams with crap and I need to try to minimalize my lifestyle. Maybe I won’t be such a basket case if I’m not surrounded by all the STUFF!
- WORKOUT – Yes, I know this goes with goal #1 – weight loss, but I can actually lose weight without working out, however, I know and everyone else knows that working out gets you there quicker! I’m going to try some yoga this year as well as some aerobic DVD’s and the $2000 eliptical we bought that is in the back room! I need to get up EARLY a couple days a week and make myself do this. After all, our health is all we really have.
Here’s to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009! ~ CHEERS!
